Research Assistant – Suicide Research
20 hours per week

Austen Riggs Center is a private voluntary psychiatric hospital and residential treatment center located in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. We are looking for a part time (20 hours per week) Research Assistant to provide day to day support to the co-PI of a multi-site NIMH-funded study examining the influence of sleep and daily interpersonal processes on suicide risk. This support may include assisting with subject recruitment, data collection and entry, preparing both narrative, quantitative and physiological data for coding and analysis, and assisting with literature reviews, manuscript preparation and applications for external funding as needed. The Research Assistant will be responsible for providing training and assistance to research subjects on using sleep actigraphy monitors and will be responsible for assisting with data collection, integrity monitoring, and analysis of sleep actigraphy data. The Research Assistant may also participate in various study and work groups that are focused on areas of clinical and research interest at Austen Riggs and may collaborate on publications and presentations.
Requirements:
Qualifications include:
• BS or BA in Psychology or related field including some course work in statistical methods and research design. Research experience including SPSS Experience working with physiological assessment methodology preferred. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
