Description:
JOB FUNCTION/PURPOSE

The Reliability Engineer has defined tasks and responsibilities to support the ongoing improvement in reliability and process improvement. The Reliability Engineer is tasked with using Defect Elimination and other Failure Mode techniques to focus on breakdowns and continuous improvement. The individual will also be responsible for leading Engineering Projects that focus on reliability and upgrading equipment and business infrastructure. The Reliability Engineer will have a primary focus on reliability improvement with MOE and OEE as Key Performance Indicators and the Development and Implementation of Reliability Plans to support.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES/OBJECTIVES
Oversee Predictive Maintenance Programs <i.e. Oil Analysis & Vibro Analysis >
Responsible for creating and changing Maintenance Plans
Oversee overall Asset Management Strategy for the site
Responsible for maintaining Site Equipment Records
Assist in the training of Maintenance Personnel
Responsible for Maintenance Benchmarking vs. industry and other Sheet Sites
Lead Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Process as part of LEAN Culture at the site
BEPREX - Reliability Team Member for the Site as part of Global BEPREX Team
RCA Lead Resource for equipment failures
Lead Spare Parts Rationalization Process
Responsible for the Development and Implementation of Notification Based Reliability Plans
Responsible for the Development & Implementation of ALPHA / Cost Savings Initiatives
Lead Role in Equipment & Parts Standardization
Participate in Global and Sheet Business Technical Exchanges
Support overall Capital and Expense (CapEx) Budget Development and Implementation
Support the implementation and oversight of Thermal Imaging (mechanical) process
Lead Role in Designing and Implementing PM Program & identifying and closing existing gaps
Responsible for coordinating and participating in BEPREX Exchanges <Deerfield / Newark>






Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS

BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or Related degree with +5 years of experience
MS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or Related degree with +3 years of experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent Troubleshooting, Analytical and Problem Solving Skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Strong Interpersonal skills and ability to interact across all levels of the organization

Preferred Qualifications:
Broad knowledge of rotating and static equipment through experience, training and self-study
Six Sigma Belt Certification
Understanding and Training in Root Cause Analysis / Defect Elimination / Failure Mode Effect Analysis Methodologies

• Working knowledge of computers and proficiency with software applications including: Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes & SAP
• Proficiency with AUTO Cad and Microsoft Project
