Louison House is looking for someone to join our team as a new employee to assist in our mission to serve our neighbors who experience homelessness. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who has experience in the human services and who really likes to work with people. The job(s) include serving as staff for shifts (8 hours) at our transitional housing shelter in North Adams. There will be regular shifts, mainly Friday 2nd shift (4pm-12am), and Saturdays and Sundays from 8am-4pm, but also possible fill-in for 3rd shift (12am midnight - 8am) or covering vacations for other shifts (1st and 2nd). Additionally we are seeking someone with transportation to do outreach to people in our apartments and for assistance with projects that serve our homeless neighbors. People applying will be considered for any or all of these duties. More than one person may be hired as the position may be split but employment will not exceed 20-25 hours at this time.
There will be a paid orientation and training period at the start of employment.

Must be willing to learn, work well as a team staff member, but also work well independently for duties as assigned. People must not be judgemental and need to be accepting of others. Good written and oral skills are necessary. Basic computer skills and knowledge of programs including word, email, and others are helpful for the position.
