Berkshire Family & Individual Resources (BFAIR) currently has openings for relief staff in many of our departments.
Home Life Support Counselors:
•Primarily responsible for providing various supports to individuals with disabilities in a group home setting
•Assists individuals in all areas of daily living including personal care, housekeeping, cooking, and recreational activities.
•Works closely with individuals to help them to become as independent as possible and to meet their own personal goals
•Assists individuals to find and participate in community activities they enjoy while encouraging community membership as well as pursuing individual interests.
•Located in Clarksburg, North Adams, Williamstown, Adams, Pittsfield and West Stockbridge.
•2nd shift, 3rd shift and weekend hours.
Day Program Habilitation Specialists:
•The Hab Specialist will work with anywhere from 1 to 4 members on a daily basis.
•This position is a direct service role providing personal care, assisting with goal and objective implementation, data collection and monthly notes.
•Located in North Adams, MA
•1st shift weekday hours.
•Provide a variety of supports and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities in the community and to their family members
•Provide guidance and training in developing skills needed to live independently
•Ensure that people supported reside in a safe and healthy environment with proper access to medical and social supports
•Have the ability to communicate effectively with staff, individuals and family members and/or guardians necessary
•Respect for basic human rights and the dignity of each individual is paramount
•Employees with 2 or more years working with individuals with developmental disabilities are preferred.
•Located in Central and South County.
All applicants must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma/GED. Valid Driver’s License and reliable access to a vehicle is required. Must meet standards outlined in Safe Driver Policy. Full and comprehensive training is provided.
