Catering Sales Manager

We seek a reliable, energetic person to fill our Catering Sales Manager position. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual interested in a future career in the hospitality industry. The successful candidate will act as liaison between the hotel and the guest throughout the event process, (pre-event, event, post-event). Will be responsible for all banquet supervision. Provide administrative support to the Director of Sales as needed. Management of small social accounts. A strong focus on superior customer service is a must as well as understanding of sales systems and procedures. Familiarity of the Berkshires is a plus. This position is responsible for selling and detailing all social events including weddings.
-Minimum of 1 year banquet/catering experience.
-Hotel Sales experience preferred.
-Knowledge of wedding planning.
-Attention to detail is a must.
-Friendly, ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy environment.
-Outstanding presentation and communications skills, both oral and written.
-Proficient in MS Software, i.e. Excel, Word, Power Point, Publisher and Delphi
-Knowledge of web browsers and search engine research practices.
-Ability to work independently.
-Ability to learn quickly in a new position.
-Thorough understanding of the RFP process.
-Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work holidays, days, nights and weekends.
