Fairview Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is looking for a reliable and professional cook to join our dynamic dietary team.
•Prepare and cook foods following standardized recipes and department policies.
•Set up and serve entrees on tray line at all meals utilizing proper portioning and safe food handling techniques.
•Check and record tray line temperatures prior to meal service. Replace and reheat as needed to maintain appropriate temperatures.
•Proper storage of all food items following safe food handling procedures. Cover, label and date all items in appropriate size containers.
•All pre-preparation necessary for the next day meals as designated in the menu book.
•Complete assigned cleaning as per cleaning schedule in addition to cleaning work areas you use. “Clean as you go.”
Full or Part-time positions available. 12:30p - 8:30p. Every other weekend required.
•Minimum 1 year of quantity food service experience, preferably in long term care setting.
•Safe Serve certification also preferred.
•Ability to supervise and make independent decisions.
•Ability to operate, dismantle, and reassemble all kitchen equipment.
•Must be able to read, write and speak English language.
•Must be able to complete mathematical calculations necessary for quantity food production.
