JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the VP, Branch Banking & Operations, this position performs assigned duties and responsibilities associated with back office retail banking office functions within the institution. The position will provide to the incumbent basic training in retail, accounting and deposit operations. 

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Process, verify and file debit and ATM card applications including monitoring limits
  • Process RIM, return overdraft ACH’s from RIM, repost no account checks
  • Process POS and ATM charge backs (Reg E compliance)
  • Check signatures over $10,000.00 and mail ISF notices
  • Balance and process ACH rejects, check previous days ACH rejects postings
  • Originate ACH transactions
  • Process returned checks (returned deposited items)
  • Verify stop payments
  • Process foreign checks through Bankers Bank
  • Monitor accounts with outstanding ISF charges or negative balances, send letters, close accounts and report customers to E-Funds
  • Assist employees and customers with deposit operations research
  • Review file maintenance activities of retail banking, ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to appropriately.
  • Primary recipient of customer phone calls from the “phone tree”; offer solutions to customer issues, or transfer to appropriate staff member/department for assistance.
  • Primary source for all retail online banking needs.  Includes customer assistance, troubleshooting issues, report review, and maintaining compliance according to policy/procedures.

 OTHER FUNCTIONS

  • Attend trainings as required
  • Performs other duties as needed or assigned
  • High School Diploma and two years banking experience
  • Ability to interact and work professionally with all Bank departments
  • Proficiency with basic accounting skills
  • Ability to organize information and communicate effectively
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to work effectively individually and in a team environment
  • Ability to read, speak and write the English language
  • Ability to be flexible
