Adams Community Bank evolved from the combination of two excellent community banks in 2012. Adams Co-Operative Bank, a state-chartered co-operative bank founded in 1895, and South Adams Savings Bank, founded as a state-chartered savings bank in 1869. The shareholders and depositors of Adams Co-Operative and the Corporators of South Adams Savings voted and approved the merger and the bank's new name on October 19, 2011.
Both Adams Co-Operative Bank and South Adams Savings Bank consider themselves fortunate to have had the same customers for generations. We are your neighbors, colleagues and friends. We are all a part of this community we love, this community we trust and this community we call home. Itís our community commitment that will make us stronger and our loyalty to our customers that will set us apart.
Adams Community Bank's goal is to treat every customer like family, so you trust us with yours. We like to call it 'family-style customer service.' We all know that nobody has your best interest like family.
