This rewarding Third Shift position is ideal for the night owl looking to expand his/her career. As the overnight manager on duty this individual is responsible is responsible for providing outstanding guest service to all guests in the hotel while covering overnight shifts at the front desk and performing accounting functions.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Greet and assist all guests during arrival and departure.
Maximize room revenue and occupancy levels through suggestive selling techniques.
Handle and balances the departments accounting of money, receipts, guest accounts, and other forms of credit; operates the departmentís cash register. Balances and records daily sales of all hotel departments appropriately.
Maintain order and cleanliness of front desk and back office to present a pleasant and professional image to guests.
Perform clerical duties to include handling incoming and outgoing mail, faxing, photocopying and bookkeeping as needed. Maintains account receivable ledgers.
Act as manager on duty for overnight shifts.
Maintains information and communication sources such as room inventory, lost and found log, telephone information, log book, and hotel directories; operates switchboard to handle customer inquiries, wakeup calls and the paging of guests.
Attends meetings as required.
Follows established safety procedures.
Provides assistance to other departments of the hotel to contribute to its smooth operation.
Maintain a clean, pleasant, and professional image to guests and associates.
Complies with hotel policies and procedures.
