Dynamic part-time position offers the opportunity to assume a variety of roles. We are looking for someone who is passionate about good nutrition and enjoys sharing their knowledge through writing, public presentations and one-on-one counseling. Duties include being an integral member of our menu design team by ensuring we meet our high standards for nutrition and quality and strict government regulations. Other responsibilities include: timely reporting; nutrient analysis;site inspections; and leading on-going trainings for staff and volunteers to ensure compliance with health and fire regulations, proper sanitation and food handling practices, food portion control, and quality control. The chosen candidate will also be a contributor to the Berkshire Senior newspaper and with be the agency's go-to person for all matters surrounding nutrition.
Bachelor Degree - Registered Dietician with MA Licensure. Two or more years related experience preferred, with demonstrated ability; to create and conduct nutrition education programs, utilize computerized nutrient analysis tolls, translate knowledge of menu requirements into appropriate senior nutrition menus. This position is part time Monday - Friday. ServSafe certification will be required.
