Description:
Elizabeth Freeman Center (EFC) seeks a licensed social worker, nurse, psychiatrist, psychologist or psychotherapist to provide clinical supervision and support to EFC staff, interns, and volunteers, and to provide counseling and advocacy for survivors of domestic, dating and sexual violence. Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical supervision for EFC staff, interns, and volunteers through regular individual and group meetings
• Offer trauma, clinical, and mental health expertise to staff, interns, and volunteers
• Monitor high-risk cases and/or survivors with complex needs
• Attend to vicarious trauma for staff, interns, and volunteers
• Strengthen staff team building and agency cohesion
• Provide survivors of domestic or sexual violence with support, advocacy, and assistance, including:
o assessing their circumstances and emergency needs and providing assistance to meet those needs;
o offering individual counseling and support groups;
o safety planning;
o advocating on issues of housing, benefits, income maximization, children, education, mental health and medical access, and more;
o referring victims to services including other EFC services (e.g. court support) and community resources (including Community Legal Aid, the District Attorney’s office, housing resources, etc.), with follow-up as appropriate
• Liaise with other clinical and community service providers for coordination of treatment and services
• Advance EFC’s ability to provide survivor-centered, trauma-informed, accessible, holistic, confidential, and free services for domestic and sexual violence
• Practice and promote EFC’s commitment to social justice and anti-oppression practices
• Contribute to ongoing assessment to ensure client needs, agency standards, and legal and funding requirements are met
• Ensure staff, volunteers, and interns maintain appropriate and professional boundaries with clients, and adhere to strict guidelines and protocols to ensure client confidentiality and security
• Complete all other duties to ensure that clients are provided with professional, empathetic, affirming services within the context of the agency’s mission and consistent with grant and legal requirements
Requirements:
Qualifications:

• Licensed social worker, mental health counselor, nurse, psychiatrist, psychologist, or psychotherapist
• Knowledge of the dynamics of domestic and sexual violence and the impact of trauma
• Experience providing individual and group supervision, and team building
• Commitment to fostering a workplace culture that appreciates cultural difference, and is trauma-informed and social justice-centered
• Must successfully pass Criminal Record Check-CORI and have valid Massachusetts driver’s license and reliable transportation

Full-time, 40 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work required for outreach, supervisory and counseling activities
