Position: Design BIM Modeler (Building Information Modeler) *This position is located in DALTON, MA.* Dailey Precast, LLC (www.daileyprecast.com) specializes in the design and manufacturing of quality precast/prestressed concrete products. Our projects include parking structures, building exteriors, bridges, sports stadiums and retaining walls throughout Metro New York/New Jersey, Upstate New York, and New England. Dailey Precast is utilizing the very latest parametric modeling technologies in our industry and we currently have openings for experienced Design BIM Modeler to join our team. We are looking for someone who is excited to learn about the Precast industry through training, feedback, and a hands-on experience. The BIM Modeler is a support position within the Design Department which reports directly to the Design Manager. Under limited supervision, this individual is responsible for creating and maintaining production models utilizing Solidworks 3D software, in accordance with precast engineering standards and precast manufacturing which include the geometry, reinforcing, connections and inserts of a particular component within the building structure. Location: Dalton, MA Required Qualifications: • High School Diploma • Solidworks Essentials training or equivalent experience • AutoCAD experience • Knowledge of drafting standards and techniques • Ability to interpret technical documents, models and assemblies • Strong writing and communication skills • Must have the ability to learn the various construction techniques used in fabrication • Candidate should be self-motivated, a self-starter and goal orientated • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point) Desired Qualifications: • Associates degree in Engineering • Two years minimum experience in Solidworks, with an emphasis on configuration management, external referencing and the ability to troubleshoot model errors • Two years minimum experience in the Precast industry or equivalent manufacturing background focused on pre-fabrication assemblies • Experience with Bill of Material Management with relationship to database integration and end user requirements • Experience with writing shop instructions and text procedures Compensation / Benefits: • Hourly: Depending on qualifications and job experience • 401K Program • SMART Goal Incentives • Health Benefits and insurance program • Educational support opportunities How to Apply: Contact HR: Heather Guare (802)442-4418 Ext 227 or hguar@peckham.com Contact Design: Eric Schaffirck (802)442-4418 Ext 227 or escha@peckham.com Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
