As the Senior Mechanical Engineer, you’ll design and develop in such areas as mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, thermodynamic, or heat transfer for production, transmission, measurement, and use of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines and/or machines. Basically, you’ll test your skill and knowledge each and every day by working with the best of the best to complete projects on time and on budget.

What you bring to the table:
A Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree
Solid capability with solid modeling CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawings
Solid capability with cable design tools (Mentor / Capital Harness preferred) to create cable harnesses and sand-alone cable designs and drawings
Solid knowledge with technical standards, manufacturing/fabrication methods, and government/industry standards
Follow all wire and cable construction, routing, and COORD requirements at a component and rack/cabinet design level
Use processes for design tools and design best practices to implement cabling designs
Assist in defining material and deliverables as a roll-up to the program lead
Provide support to the Manufacturing organization during the build cycle
Provide support to the Field Engineering organization during the installation cycle

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
