Medical Assistant II/Clinical Support Rep
$16.63 Per Hour
High School or Equivalent
Up to One Year
Medical Assistant - Preference: Required
-Two years of college or equivalent work experience preferred.
-High School diploma or equivalent required.
-Typing (40 WPM) required.
-CPR certification required within 3 months of employment required.
-Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required
-Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
-One to Two years of administrative experience in a busy office, preferably a physician practice, is required.
-Experience working with clients with behavioral health, substance use and/complex social needs required.
-Excellent clerical/organizational skills required.
-Working knowledge of Window based PC applications required.
-Knowledge of Department specific services preferred.
-Insurance knowledge and billing experience strongly preferred.
-One to two years working in a busy physician office as a Medical Assistant strongly preferred.
-EKG experience required
-Experience in a team based environment strongly preferred
-Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability and experience dealing with agitated/dissatisfied patients, family and physicians
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast paced environment
-Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
-Demonstrated competency in handling confidential and sensitive information required
-Excellent telephone skills required
-Sensitivity to diverse culture and cultural differences and demonstrated ability to read and follow written/verbal direction
-Knowledge of community services needed
-Self motivated and ability to be independent and flexible within a team framework
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
-Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner
-Injection experience required
-Desire to work with target population in a patient centered, team based environment
-Proven strong interpersonal, communication and team based skills
-Data entry skills preferred with working knowledge of Windows based PC applications required.
-Must meet the physical requirements of the position, as outlined in the job description available through the Human Resources department.
