Williams College Procurement and Auxiliary services seeks a collaborative, dedicated staff member to oversee the college’s vehicle fleet’s use, maintenance, and other related duties. This staff member will deliver on all associated vehicle support functions and other transportation related activities in support of college employees. 

This is a full-time, year-round, support staff position, reporting to the Manager of Procurement and Auxiliary Services of the VP of Finance & Operations office.

  • Making daily reservations, schedules, and facilitating dispatches of all college cars 
  • Perform daily yard checks and inspect vehicles for cleanliness, condition, location, documents
  • Monitor all trips and driver performance using systems and take corrective actions as needed
  • Assist with vehicle registrations, purchases/sales, and qualifying drivers
  • Review and enter college utilities bills using bill payment software
  • Respond to queries from faculty, staff, and students in support of travel arrangements

  • Excellent customer service skills to actively assist customers, including numerous walk-ins, emails, and calls concerning a variety of transportation activities 
  • Attention to detail and accuracy; ability to accurately follow the reservation and dispatch process 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations including suppliers, staff, faculty, and students
  • Proficient in software programs/systems such as email and office suite applications
  • Comfortable working in a busy, fast paced environment
