The Williams College Office of the President seeks a service-oriented individual to join us as a fully benefitted, part-time Administrative Assistant working 20 hours per week, year-round. As an ideal candidate, you are collaborative, unflappable, and tech-savvy. The successful candidate possesses clerical skills, prefers being organized, appreciates detail-oriented work, and can pivot given changing office priorities. 


Responsibilities

As part of our team, you will ensure the smooth running of our office operations including greeting visitors and responding to inquiries by phone and email; managing logistics for in-office meetings; coordinating Presidential correspondence; overseeing office systems including office supplies and equipment; and providing clerical support to event planning. 

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a high traffic office 
  • 2+ years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • You naturally build professional relationships with different types of people, creating an informal network of collaborators across the campus and broader community who you can turn to to seek answers and solutions 
  • You are comfortable in an environment where most work is done electronically and you are able to quickly learn new systems and technology; you have experience with Microsoft Office and G Suite
  • You rarely make mistakes, but when mistakes happen, you take ownership and steps to correct them graciously and effectively
  • You are able to work in an environment with many moving parts and people and you are willing to be patient and flexible with processes and workflow
