Williams College seeks a highly-motivated, student-centered individual to work as an Assistant Director for International Student Services (ISS) within the Office of the Dean of Students. This position assists the Associate Dean of Students and Director of ISS with the day-to-day operations and requirements of the office, as well as with developing and implementing programs and services customized for international, undocumented, third culture students as well as other students seeking immigration and visa support. The Assistant Director also works in collaboration with other departments such as The Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, The Davis Center, and the 68 Center for Career Exploration. Other duties may also be assigned to the Assistant Director by the Associate Dean of Students and Director of ISS.

Responsibilities
- Serve as designated school official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) in SEVIS and as an administrator in the College's batch processing system, Terra Dotta.
- Advise and provide holistic support to international, undocumented and third culture students as well as students seeking other immigration and visa support in coordination with the Associate Dean and Director of ISS.
- Assist in the planning and implementing of international student orientation, intercultural programs, events and workshops offered by ISS and in collaboration with campus partners.
- Perform general office administration functions for ISS (ex. budgeting, record keeping, data collection) including oversight of International Orientation student workers.
- Create and update compliance and other engagement related messaging and lead in the management of the ISS social media, website and monthly newsletter.
- Serve as an ISS liaison to campus and community partners, International TAPSI house and student organizations.
- Some evening and weekend responsibilities are required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree plus 2 or more years of highly relevant experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree preferred.
- Immigration knowledge and demonstrated experience working with SEVIS and immigration regulations pertaining to F-1 and J-1 status required. Knowledge of batch processing such as Terra Dotta is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and understand ever-changing immigration regulations.
- Commitment to supporting students in their academic, social, and personal success
- Experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion with the ability to work with, recruit, and support a group of diverse students of various identities and who have various lived experiences.
- Must be an internally motivated individual with strong time management skills, the ability to manage complex tasks and balance competing priorities under time constraints and deadlines.
- U.S. federal regulations require an ARO and DSO to be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.
This is a full-time, year-round appointment, reporting to the Associate Dean and Director of ISS.
