Location: Great Barrington
Pay: $18-20/hour depending on experience

  • Full-time: M-F 8:30-4:30 + overtime during tax season (time & ½ after 40 hours) Sat 9-1:30 Feb – April
  • Part-time: M-F, 30-35 hours
  • Temporary/Seasonal: Jan 10 – Apr 21, varying hours

TEC is recruiting for an Administrative Professional to join a reputable Accounting firm here in the Berkshires.

This full-time position is for a self-motivated individual that excels with client service. The position will also provide administrative support by handling a variety of general office and tax filing season durities (does not include tax prep). You will be part of our administrative team, working closely with clients, our partners, firm administrator, and professional team to develop and sustain excellent client experiences.

In this role, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Understand the firm’s policies and procedures
  • Assist clients in person, via phone, and email to reach the resources they need
  • Scan and file documents using the technology tools
  • Maintain critical client and project data for the team
  • Record and maintain client accounts receivable & bank deposits transactions
  • Assist partners and Firm Administrator with various projects; keep them informed of issues that may jeopardize the achievement of objectives
  • Seasonal functions: assemble tax returns, contact clients, trach and assist with document signing
  • who will perform clerical functions such as greeting clients, preparing correspondence, and scheduling meetings. The position will also provide administrative support by handling a variety of general office and tax season duties (does not include tax preparation).  You will be part of the front office team, working closely with our partners, firm administrator, and accountants to develop and sustain excellent client relationships.  


  • High school diploma plus one to three years related experience
  • Possess a strong technology skillset which includes web-based software
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Be comfortable communicating with a diverse group of people daily
  • Be organized, accurate, and responsible
  • Respect deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft platforms/programs such as Word, Excel, Teams & Outlook 
  • Applicants need to be computer/tech savvy
  • AP/AR experience preferred
