Pot Washer/Utility Worker
$14.50 Per Hour

Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing in the kitchen. Also receives and stores deliveries.
• Wash and sanitize pots, pans and other kitchen equipment.
• Place clean cooking equipment in designated storage areas.
• Maintain kitchen work areas and equipment in clean and orderly condition.
• Sort and remove trash and recycling, placing it in designated pickup areas.
• Assist with sweeping and mopping of floors, including storeroom and coolers.
• Clean work area including floors, racks, floor mats, wash & sanitize sink at end of shift.
• Clean bathrooms weekly or more frequently as needed.
• Clean food stack racks as needed.
• Assist Supervisor in receiving produce, dairy products and dry goods to include the proper storage and rotations of old items.
• Assist in kitchen as needed during meal service.

Basic knowledge of kitchen duties, sanitation procedures and safety codes. Current certification or willingness to obtain certification in sanitation procedures.

Work Environment:
The position requires frequent physical movements such as standing and walking for extended time periods, including bending, squatting, and twisting to perform work functions. Manual dexterity is required in reaching and grasping objects with both hands, twisting of hand and wrist, and pushing and pulling of objects. Objects up to 50 pounds must be lifted on a frequent basis without assistance, and 70 pounds on occasion with assistance if required. Kitchen cleaning and power tools must be operated in the position as required. The work is primarily performed indoors.
