Pittsfield Public Schools is seeking a dynamic leader for Pittsfield High School. The successful candidate must be an adaptive and innovative educator to close the opportunity gap, empower educators and maximize learning for all students. Applicants should have a deep understanding of outstanding practices in instruction, school culture, diversity and inclusion, and use of data.
Five years of successful teaching and administrative experience, preferably in high-performing or school turnaround context
Instructional experience in an unban/diverse setting
Knowledge and experience in culturally responsive teaching
Experience in the recruitment of a diverse staff
Experience with multiple approaches to address student behaviors and instructional practices that empower students, such as restorative practices and student centered learning
Strong understanding of curriculum and instruction grounded in the Common Core standards
