Long Term Substitute - Middle School Math Teacher
Mount Greylock Regional School District seeks a long-term middle school math substitute teacher. The District anticipates a need for this substitute position until late February 2020. The successful applicant will be expected to teach middle school math classes and will work closely with the 7-12 Math Department as well as the 8th grade teacher team. We are looking for candidates who will be able to carry on existing program elements but who also have their own ideas about math curriculum development. Detailed knowledge of state and national curriculum standards in math is expected. The ideal applicant will have excellent classroom management skills and demonstrate mastery of effective instructional strategies and learning assessments. The applicant will demonstrate knowledge of adolescent growth and development and be able to support all learners of diverse abilities effectively. The applicant will possess excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and show the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, administrators, and the community.
At least three years of math teaching experience is preferred; strong candidates with less experience will also be considered.
Bachelor's Degree Required, Master's Degree Preferred
MA DESE Academic Teacher Certification Preferred: Mathematics 5-8
1-3 Years of Experience Preferred.
All offers of employment with Mount Greylock Regional School District are contingent upon satisfactory completion of the employment screening process to include SAFIS (CHRI) Federal and CORI State background check reports.
At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred
