Ski Butternut is seeking Sales Associate/Cashier in our Ski and Board Shop for the Fall and Winter Season.
PURPOSE OF POSITION - A Ski and Board Shop Sales Associate/Cashier is responsible for assisting customers throughout the store, processing transactions at the register, and maintaining the shop inventory.
SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES- A friendly demeanor and strong communication skills are required. The Sales Associate will have extensive interactions on with our guests, so it is very important that applicants is a strong communicator. -Basic math skills are required for the accurate and efficient processing of payments at the register. Previous cash handling experience is helpful.-Prior knowledge of ski and snowboard equipment is desired but not required. Applicant must be willing to learn about and continually advance their knowledge of all the products offered in the Shop.-It is required that applicant will report for shifts in a timely fashion, in proper uniform and be neatly groomed for the start of their shift.-Must be honest and reliable.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-Customer assistance: candidly and resourcefully assist customers through the sales process. Must be able to handle questions and objections with creativity and practicality.-Inventory management: restocking, organizing, folding, tagging, staging, counting and maintenance of all shop items.-Cash register management: Must accurately check-out all items, take payment and give proper change. Must maintain a balanced register and efficiently handle all transactions.-Various duties: assisting as required in other areas of the Shop, including cleaning work area, or any other area as need.
