Countryside has been in business for over 20 years and performs both residential and commercial applications including: Forestry, Masonry, Excavations, Hydroseed, Maintenance, and Installations.
PROJECT MANAGER / ESTIMATOR
Drivers License - Preference: Required
Oversee and manage the daily operations of crews; interacting and scheduling with field managers regarding job priorities; ability to manager several projects at a time. Requires frequent client interaction.
Develop and oversee preconstruction activities on commercial projects including: networking and establishing key relationships, creating pipeline for potential leads, estimate and budget all commercial/residential projects, manage project buyout and submittal coordination. Upon the completion of preconstruction activities, the Project Manager is responsible for: sequencing and logistics for the project; attend project meetings, facilitate and coordinate all necessary labor, equipment, and materials to meet project demands. Lastly, the Project Manager is responsible for working with the office manager during billing and closeout processes.
Use Insight tracking software to seek prospective projects that are the right fit for the company.
Use On-Screen Takeoff software to determine measured calculations to use in bid proposals.
Review project specifications and details.
Generate estimates using Microsoft Excel and Asset Software.
Develop RFI’s, transmittals, submittals, and other trade correspondence with architects and clients.
Work with Vendors and Subcontractors to beat budgeted price for all material, equipment or hired out work.
Map out workload and determine necessary labor, equipment and materials to meet milestones for project.
Coordinate all deliveries to project site working with plant purchaser or other vendors.
Set project goals based on estimate for project and known production rates.
Work with site contractors to prevent scheduling conflicts.
Attend project meetings.
Staying on track of project completion schedule.
Manage the completion of punch list items, and closeout of the project.
Work with the accounting department on finalizing the schedule of values, AIA reporting and retention.
Undergraduate or graduate degree in the Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, or Civil Engineering.
A minimum of 3 (+) years in the industry and have substantial field experience.
Must be well organized, well spoken, and have fundamental computer and technology comprehension and competence.
Ability to work well with others and provide clear and concise direction.
Valid Driver’s License.
Massachusetts Construction/Supervisors license strongly desired.
Occasional overtime is required when necessary.
