School Cafeteria Assistant (Multiple Openings) 2026–2027 School Year North Berkshire School Union is seeking multiple School Cafeteria Assistants for the 2026–2027 school year. Positions are part-time and follow the school calendar, Monday through Friday while school is in session. Current openings are anticipated at: Clarksburg Elementary School - Clarksaburg, MA Gabriel Abbott Memorial School - Florida, MA Rowe Elementary School - Rowe, MA Responsibilities Include: Assist with food preparation and meal service Serve meals to students and staff Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, cafeteria, equipment, and work areas Wash dishes and assist with daily kitchen cleanup Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines Work cooperatively with cafeteria staff, students, and school personnel Perform other related duties as assigned Interested candidates should submit a resume and cover letter directly to the school where they wish to apply or electronically to the school principal. Requirements:
Qualifications: Prior food service experience preferred, but not required Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Dependable, organized, and able to work as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Requirements:: Must pass all required background checks, including CORI and fingerprinting Must comply with all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements The North Berkshire School Union is an equal opportunity employer.
