| Requirements: | - Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Has a thorough knowledge of nursing principles and procedures.
- Current experience in nephrology nursing/dialysis preferred.
At least one year experience in critical care nursing preferred.
Two year medical/ surgical nursing required.
- Education and Training:
- Associates Degree in Nursing. BSN preferred.
- Successful completion of critical care course, and arrythmia course required.
- License, Certification & Registration:
- RN License - Currently licensed as an RN in Massachusetts
- BLS
- Certification as a Nephrology Nurse preferred.
- Other Requirements:
- Demonstrates continuing education in accordance with State regulations. Assures compliance with unit-specific scope of practice. Must be able to speak the English language in an understandable manner. Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so the requirements of the position can be fully met.
- Other Addendum(s) Requirements:
- Previous training and education in nephrology nursing/dialysis techniques required. At least
one year experience in critical care nursing or one year experience with medical/surgical
nursing required. - Arrythmia course successfully completed within 6 months
- BSN preferred
- CNN preferred
- Certification In Basic Life Support; certification in hemodialysis nursing and/or
Nephrology nursing preferred. - At least one year of current experience in nephrology nursing, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and sustained low efficiency dialysis required. At least one year of experience in a critical care setting preferred
- Successful completion of telemetry course required
- Participation in the on-call rotation required.
