| Remote Patient Support Representative (Oncology Client) Location: Remote – Must reside in Massachusetts (MA) Schedule: Monday–Friday between 8:00am–6:00pm Type: Temp-to-Hire Pay: $22–$25/hour (depending on experience) Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and compassionate Remote Patient Support Representative to support our Oncology client. This position opened today and plays a critical role in assisting cancer patients through sensitive and meaningful interactions. These calls require speaking directly with cancer patients, accessing and reviewing patient charts, taking detailed messages, and routing information accurately to the appropriate provider or disease clinic. Accuracy is essential, along with a warm, compassionate, and professional phone presence. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity. Because separate system credentials must be requested from the client, we are seeking reliable candidates with relevant experience and strong tenure in previous roles who are committed to long-term stability. Key Responsibilities -
Handle sensitive inbound and outbound calls from oncology patients -
Access and review patient charts while speaking with patients -
Take accurate and detailed messages and route them to the correct provider or disease clinic -
Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines -
Navigate between two systems simultaneously (prior experience required) -
Provide empathetic, clear, and professional communication at all times -
Cross-train to answer main hospital lines (switchboard operator responsibilities) -
Transfer callers to the appropriate doctor’s office or department -
Page on-call providers for urgent matters Qualifications -
Relevant medical experience required (must have experience working in a medical environment) -
Prior experience working directly with patients, preferably oncology or specialty care -
Excellent verbal and written communication skills -
Warm, compassionate, and professional phone presence -
Strong attention to detail and accuracy -
Ability to toggle between two systems simultaneously (required) -
Typing speed of at least 45 WPM with strong accuracy -
Demonstrated job stability and strong tenure in previous roles -
