POSITION DESCRIPTION: The ABI/MFP LPN is primarily responsible for providing various support to individuals with disabilities in a group home setting. The LPN assists individuals in all areas of daily living including personal care, housekeeping, cooking and recreational activities. The LPN provides medical treatment beyond the scope of a MAP certified direct care staff. Work closely with individuals to help them become as independent as possible in order meet their own personal goals. Assist individuals to find as well as participate in community activities they enjoy while encouraging community membership as well as individual interests. |
QUALIFICATIONS: License by the MA Board of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse and have 2 years’ experience in the direct care of the elderly or disabled. Ability to complete all initial and ongoing background checks including but not limited to: CORI, SORI, Fingerprinting, LEIE, Driving record, E-verify, Physical, PPD and licensing and/or certification checks (i.e., nursing). Valid US driver’s license and ready access to a vehicle. TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: Must maintain all certification needed in the program including LPN licensure, CPR, First Aid, and BFAIR Human Rights Training. May need to attend workshops, seminars or BFAIR functions as needed for job development.
