Description:
We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The Dental Hygienist is responsible for providing preventative dental care, educating patients on oral hygiene, and supporting the dentist in delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, organized, and committed to maintaining a safe and welcoming clinical environment.
Requirements:
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing teeth Conduct oral health assessments and document findings Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) Screen patients for signs of periodontal disease, oral cancer, and other dental conditions Apply preventive materials such as fluoride treatments and sealants Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventative care Review medical histories and update patient records accurately Assist the dentist during procedures as needed Maintain operatory cleanliness and comply with infection control protocols Ensure proper sterilization of instruments and equipment Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and state dental board regulations
