Description:
Position Summary The Museum Shop Associate helps create a friendly, welcoming experience for visitors while supporting daily museum store operations during the busy seasonal period. This part-time seasonal role requires reliable weekend availability and flexibility during peak visitation times. Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions) Greet and assist visitors with purchases and questions. • Share information about museum exhibitions, events, and merchandise. • Operate the register and process transactions accurately. • Open and close the store following procedures. • Stock and organize merchandise displays. • Keep the store clean, organized, and visually appealing. • Assist with seasonal events and other tasks as needed.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications Education, Training, and Skills High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Strong customer service and communication skills preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Dependable, flexible and able to work in a fast paced seasonal environment. Schedule Requirements Must be available to work weekends. Occasional evening shifts required. Flexible availability preferred during holidays, events and peak season periods. Applicants unable to work weekends will not be considered. Work Experience Minimum of 3 months’ relevant experience preferred.
