This strategic leader empowers girls and women by identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gifts — working closely with Miss Hall’s alums across generations to understand their interests and philanthropic motivations and align with the MHS mission and priorities. The Director of Philanthropy and Alum Engagement gets to know our graduates, creates meaningful opportunities for connection, and strengthens alum networks. In collaboration with the Advancement Team, they inspire involvement and cultivate a vibrant alum community.

  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree a plus
  • Minimum 10 years of fundraising experience
  • Demonstrated success in soliciting and closing gifts of $25,000+
  • Dedicated Alum Relations experience
  • Familiarity with campaign planning and execution
  • Vision: the ability to think strategically and creatively about annual and multi-year fundraising
  • Voice: Excellent written and verbal communication and listening skills, with the ability to inspire and connect diverse audiences
  • Interpersonal efficacy: emotional intelligence and the ability to move comfortably between all constituents
  • Gumption: Commitment to the Miss Hall’s School Mission and Core Values
  • Proven success as a member of a collaborative team, with management experience preferred
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion and to serving a diverse, global community
  • Proficiency with Advancement CRM systems and a data-informed approach to relationship management
  • Highest ethical standards, integrity, and judgment and the ability to handle confidential and/or sensitive information with discretion

The salary range developed for this position is a combination of NAIS and other competitive benchmarking systems, as well as candidate experience.
