Mount Greylock Regional School District includes Lanesborough and Williamstown representing a combined population of 11,000 residents. Our District is comprised of three schools: Lanesborough Elementary (PreK-6), Williamstown Elementary (PreK-6) and Mount Greylock Regional School (7-12). JOB TITLE: Elementary Teacher (Williamstown Elementary)  

REPORTS TO: Principal

POSITION STATEMENT: Mount Greylock Regional School District seeks a dedicated and creative Elementary School Teacher to inspire a love of learning, promote equity and inclusion, and support the development of the whole child. As a member of a collaborative school community, the successful candidate will foster an engaging classroom environment, implement effective instructional practices, and contribute to a culture of continuous growth and shared responsibility for student success.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred.
Licensed, or eligible for licensure as an Academic Teacher in the field of Elementary 1-6 preferred or Early Childhood K-2 by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills both orally and in writing.
Commitment to remain current in content knowledge and teaching strategies.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions (which include but are not limited to):
Demonstrate strong knowledge of curriculum and instructional practices appropriate for elementary learners, including experience and deep understanding of best practices in literacy instruction.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment grounded in culturally and linguistically sustaining practices that support the academic and social-emotional development of all students.
Utilize data to inform instruction and differentiate to meet a wide range of learner needs. A background in Universal Design for Learning approaches is preferred.
Collaborate proactively and effectively with colleagues, families, and support staff.
Engage in ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
Other duties as assigned.

Benefits & Compensation:
Annual salary range: $50,474 – $110,081, commensurate with education and experience. Please Note: This is the current salary range for the 2025-2026 academic year and will be updated once negotiations are finalized for a new three year teachers' contract between the Mount Greylock Educators' Association and the Mount Greylock Regional School Committee.

Position governed by MGL Chapter 71 and the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Mount Greylock Education Association and the Mount Greylock Regional School Committee.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of all pre-employment screenings:
