Our District is comprised of three schools: Lanesborough Elementary (PreK-6), Williamstown Elementary (PreK-6) and Mount Greylock Regional School (7-12). Total enrollment is approximately 1200 students. Description: | JOB TITLE: Communication and Community Coordinator REPORTS TO: Superintendent POSITION STATEMENT: The Communication and Community Coordinator is a district-level role dedicated to facilitating the communication and coordination of efforts, small and large, that involve the district office. The individual works in close partnership with the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent(s), and Director(s) to ensure the district collaborates and communicates within our community with clarity, empathy, and transparency. We define community as our students, our staff, our School Committee, our families, our towns, and the regional organizations that collaborate with the school district. The Coordinator reports to the Superintendent. Essential Duties and Responsibilities1. Leadership Collaboration - Act as a strategic thought-partner to the Superintendent and district leadership team, helping to shape the narrative of district initiatives and decisions.
- Lead project coordination for major district-level initiatives, ensuring cross-departmental efforts are aligned, on schedule, and clearly communicated.
- Participate in key leadership meetings to capture action items, identify communication opportunities, and ensure follow-through on critical district goals.
2. Modern Communications and Facilitation - Participate in a comprehensive communication strategy that keeps families, staff, and municipal partners informed and engaged.
- Manage the district's communication and public footprint, including overseeing website content and communicating with the community through other channels.
- Help facilitate public forums, focus groups, and listening sessions that invite authentic community feedback and collaboration.
- Aid internal information flow, ensuring that staff and students receive timely, actionable updates from the district office before information goes public.
- Facilitate and mediate conversations to resolve conflict within our community when needed
Compensation and Benefits: - Reports to the Superintendent of Schools; 12-month (year-round) administrator position.
- Annual salary is negotiable within the range of $50,000 - $70,000 commensurate with experience; benefits commensurate with those available to all district employees including:
