Position: Commercial Lines Marketing Coordinator

Reports to: Sr. Vice President Sales

Grade Level: 106

Supervises: None

Work Location: North Adams, Pittsfield, West Springfield, Longmeadow, or Greenfield

The salary range for this position is $55,000-$75,000

The Commercial Lines Marketing Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the Commercial Lines Sales Executives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with Various Personalities and Skill Levels on the CL Sales Team
  • Build Rapport with Company Underwriters, Risk Managers, and Marketing Reps
  • Enter data on new prospects, or insureds, to be quoted into the main frame computer system
  • Research information required to quote such as driving records, vehicle information, property cards, etc.
  • If available, obtain property cards & photos from the appropriate internet sites.
  • Create applications, supplemental forms and any other items needed to submit account for quoting.
  • If we can quote in house, enter line of business data into the appropriate rating programs.
  • Attach quotes in the client’s file.
  • Track all quotes in the pipeline, as well as due dates, etc.
  • Provide Sales Executive with all documentation required for client signature once product sold. This includes LPR for proper cancellation.
  • Once Sales Executive obtains all signed documents and deposit payments, notify carrier to have policies issued, or upload thru rating system if appropriate
  • Enter all necessary activities and suspense to follow up on issuance of new policies per agency workflows and procedures.
  • Provide assistance to Account Managers for remarketing quoting as needed
  • Review Sales Executive suspense to keep current and assist Sales Executive with following up as needed.
  • At the direction of the Sales Executive update computer prospect files for prospects which decline to purchase from us – either close file or pend for following year.
  • Continuing education to keep abreast of industry, company, agency, and computer updates.
  • Maintains compliance of all related company policies, confidentiality, standardized procedures and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Take incoming calls and gather data from prospective clients when Sales Executive is unavailable
  • Learn about and utilize support programs such as Tarmika, Indio, EPIC Marketing Automation, etc. for sales support, checklists, etc.
  • As needed - provide quote proposals to Sales Executive.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma.
  • Understanding of insurance work methods and procedures.
  • Need to have an understanding of Commercial Coverages and Policies
  • Ability to verbally effectively present information to clients, company and agency staff.
  • Ability to work with Word and Excel
  • Ability to be self-motivated, provide problem-solving capabilities and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Commitment to the company’s culture and established service standards.
  • Ability to deal with and show discretion in confidential matters.
  • 25% availability to travel outside of 25-mile radius and report to any office.
