Schedule:

  • 36hrs/week
  • Hours: 11:00am-6:00pm
  • Monday-Friday
  • Hours may shift depending on needs 

  • DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
    • The Staff Chaplain provides spiritual care to patients, families, staff, and physicians through both routine and crisis ministry. As a vital member of the healthcare team, the Chaplain supports holistic healing by offering compassionate presence during times of illness, grief, and death
Requirements:
  • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
    • Experience:

      • Experienced Chaplain with strong interfaith commitment.
    • Education and Training:
      • Bachelor's degree in divinity, Theology, Spirituality, or related field required; Master's preferred.
      • Clinical Pastoral Education training minimum of two CPE units required; four units preferred .
    • License, Certification & Registration:
      • Certification College of Chaplains or NACC (National Association of Catholic Chaplains) or National Association of Jewish Chaplains or other recognized endorsing bodies preferred.
    • Other Requirements:
      • Demonstrated pastoral care experience skills in parish, healthcare, or other settings required.
      • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team and physicians.
      • Strong communication skills - verbal and written.
      • Competence in computer use for charting in the medical record and statistics.

      • Ability to represent the Spiritual Care Department to the wider community.
      • Respectful of diverse faith and spiritual perspectives.
