CPA firm seeking a candidate with Experience in Accounting and/or auditing. Strong accounting, analytical, and communication skills required. CPA or CPA track preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
• Proven experience in accounting and auditing
• Experience with Yellow Book and Uniform Guidance is a plus
• Proficiency with general ledger systems and accounting software; strong financial reporting and analytical skills are required
• Knowledge of GAAP and GAAS required; COSO, and GAGAS a plus
• Ability to perform external independent audits, document findings, and communicate results clearly
• Strong analytical, communication, and attention-to-detail skills
• Experience in governmental or non-profit accounting is a plus
• Employee Benefits Plan Audit experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance across GAAP and applicable standards.
• Conduct external audits, testing controls, sampling transactions, and documenting findings with clear recommendations.
• Utilize accounting software and general ledger systems; analyze financial data and prepare management reports and financial commentary.
• Communicate audit findings and financial insights to management and governance committees
