  • Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm

DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION

      The Behavioral Health Disposition Coordinator works as a collaborative team member for the Emergency Psychiatry Service. This role collaborates with Psych ED BH Clinicians, ED nursing and providers to ensure appropriate care transitions and community-based services. The coordinator demonstrates knowledge and experience with behavioral health and substance use care and treatment and possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills. This role supports BHS goal to improve the efficiency of healthcare service delivery and the effective use of resources.

Requirements:
  • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
    • Experience:
      • One year experience in a healthcare setting is required. Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorder experience is preferred.
    • Education and Training:

      • Associates or bachelor’s degree in health care or human services field preferred.
    • License, Certification & Registration:
      • None
    • Other Requirements:
      • Demonstrated excellence in public contact skills, proven ability to problem-solve, prioritize workflow, and display initiative, dependability and the ability to accept direction and interact with others as a team member.
      • Demonstrated computer mastery working in multiple modules, demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
      • Strong organizational skills are required.
      • Knowledge of medical terminology is required.
      • Must have significant computer and data collection/processing experience.
      • Knowledge of community healthcare resources preferred.
      • Strong Organizational skills with the demonstrated ability to work independently is essential.
      • Demonstrated understanding of medical terminology and previous healthcare clerical experience is required.
