The Business Administration and Economics Department at MCLA seeks applications for part-time faculty in the areas of accounting, finance, and business law.  The program is designed to develop liberally educated professionals with the knowledge, perspectives, problem-solving abilities, and ethical values necessary for successful careers and responsible citizenship.  

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Master's degree in a related field.  Doctorate preferred.
• Evidence of expertise, scholarly activity, or creative work appropriate to the discipline.
• Previous teaching experience at the college level is strongly preferred.

Requirements to Teach Accounting Courses:

• Evidence of expertise, scholarly activity, or creative work appropriate to accounting. 
• Prior college-level teach experience preferred, but not required
• CPA preferred

Requirements to Teach Finance Courses:

• Evidence of expertise, scholarly activity, or creative work appropriate to finance. 
• Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Excel and other relevant financial technologies

Requirement to Teach Law Courses:

• Master's degree or higher in Business, Legal Studies, Accounting, Finance, or related field, or a Juris Doctor (J.D.)
• Knowledge of topics relevant to business, including contracts, agency, business organizations, employment law, regulatory compliance, ethics, and the legal environment of business

This is a part time, temporary position within the MSCA union. Salary for this position is $1,166.67-$2,493.49/credit. Pay is based on number of semesters previously taught. 

Position starts on 1/20/2027.
