Activities Aide for the Dementia Special Care Unit 

The primary purpose of this position is to assist the DSCU Activities Program Director in planning and leading daily activities to support recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs, in accordance with resident’s care plan specifically for those residents admitted to the Dementia Special Care Unit.

Essential Job Functions:

• Leading daily activities program individualized for the DSCU residents
• Assisting in Planning and scheduling DSCU activities and events
• Completing activities information sheets for new residents on the DSCU
• Assisting as necessary with other facility activities
• Participate in community planning related to the interests of the facility and the services and needs of the resident and family.
• Coordinate activities with other departments as necessary
• Encourage residents to participate in hobbies and crafts. Provide materials as necessary.

Qualifications

• Experience in long term care preferred

Compensation & Scheduling 

$16.00 - 18.78 Per hour based on experience 

Part time, Weekends required
