The Williams College Economics Department invites applications for a visiting faculty position in applied microeconomics for the 2024-25 academic year, beginning July 1, 2024. Teaching responsibilities will consist of two course sections in each of fall and spring semesters, with a double-prep, most likely in introductory microeconomics, in at least one of the semesters. Demonstrated excellence in teaching is essential. Additionally, we seek candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their scholarship, teaching and/or service; and we especially encourage applications from members of historically underrepresented groups in the field.

We are a department of active scholars (https://econ.williams.edu/) and currently have 26 tenured or tenure-track faculty members. Qualifications
Candidates should expect to have a Ph.D, or all requirements for the Ph.D. degree completed, by July 1, 2025, and we welcome applicants who have recently retired or are on leave from other institutions.
