Opening Details

The Housing Assistant supports the Student Storage program facilitated by Residential Life & Housing at Williams College on a temporary as-needed basis. The Student Storage program is a seasonal program offered to Williams College students to store their items while they are away from campus for periods of time, including long breaks and/or studies abroad. Students' items are left in their rooms - and the Residential Life & Housing team works with an off-campus partner to move the items to long-term storage. Before the students return to campus, the items are returned to the students' next room.

Schedules are subject to change based on the needs of the department.

Responsibilities include providing access to campus vendors to campus buildings and individual student rooms, documenting the movement of students' belongings, and maintaining a secure environment for the student's belongings and students on campus. You will thrive if you are self-motivated, enthusiastic, and energetic. Your ability to relate to diverse customers and staff in a professional manner is essential.

This position does not require lifting or moving items but does require bending, climbing and descending stairs, walking, and standing for extended periods of time. Additionally, this position requires scheduling flexibility.
