  • General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Production Control Supervisor.  The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation’s fundamental defense services.  General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.


    Oversees activities related to shipping/receiving/material control and stores functions
    May also oversee government property activities
    Develops, implements, and maintains policy, procedures and material control systems
    Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function
    Defines/reviews/tests system requirements for enhancements/modifications
    Coordinates workflow and material movement to meet program and customer delivery requirements
    Conducts internal audits and development/review of corrective action plans
    Performs analysis of work flow/load balancing and take appropriate action
    Effectively resolve conflict of personnel within team and across functions
    Active participation in functional related council meetings

    Must be able to understand and track financial/budget data and staffing requirements
    Provides direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance
    Administers company policies that directly affect subordinate employees
    Recommends changes to unit or sub-unit policies
    May also be responsible for hire/fire decisions
    Proficient knowledge of military/commercial requirements/ specifications
    Proficient knowledge of internal/external procedures and policies
    Conflict management skills
    Proficient knowledge of capital procurement process
    Budget analysis skills
    Negotiation and dispute resolution skills
    Mentoring skills
    Demonstrated use of influence skills to meet objective of team
    Demonstrated ability to adjust individual and team activities to changing conditions


Bachelor’s degree is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience to meet managerial expectations.

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
