Description:
Oak Hill Children's Center is located at 72 School House Road, Pownal, Vermont. Oak Hill accepts children from the ages of 6 weeks to 12 years. The program includes before/afterschool care and school age summer programming. The Center is open from 6:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. and is closed for holidays and cleaning days. The Center offers preschool programs during the school year through a partnership with the Southwestern Vermont Supervisory Union, along with child care. Oak Hill is a 4 STAR program.

Applicant should be licensed in the State of Vermont as an early childhood teacher. The candidate should have experience working with children with special needs and those suffering from early trauma. This individual should understand the development of young children, the importance of play, be able to nurture natural instincts, teach children to solve problems and explore the world around them. The candidate should show empathy, compassion, and respect for all and be able to work collaboratively with their fellow teachers. The candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate program for preschool children which meets the requirements of the Vermont Learning Standards.
