Director of Homecare Services
The Director of Homecare Services is responsible for the day to day management of community living programs under the Acquired Brain Injury and Money Follows the Person waiver services as well as the day to day management of all service types rendered under the EOEA contact with Elder services of Berkshire County. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Ensure program meets quality assurance and certification standards. Facilitate quality services through adherence to agency standards, standards set forth by Mass Health, ABI/MFP Waiver Services, EOEA and contracted ASAP as well as the Disabled Persons Protection Commission's (DPPC).
Supervise program staff and services as delegated by the Director of Program Operations – Day Services delegate tasks as needed; help facilitate staff meetings/weekly scheduling meetings and provide individual supervision as regularly scheduled.
Oversee referral and intake process in collaboration with vendor staff.
Monitor Provider Direct website daily to be aware of referrals or changes in a current consumer’s status.
Ensure that referrals are processed within the required timeframe and that services begin within the allotted amount of time specified per contractual agreement.
Oversee the ABI Transitional Assistance program and ensure that consumers transition from the nursing home to the community smoothly.
Ensure that any plan of care is followed and that all data and paperwork required of the staff is completed and submitted on time.
Act as on-call support for staff scheduling for assigned programs) as assigned by Director. Schedule program staff and manage time off for staff.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus at least three years of supervisory experience in a homecare or residential care setting is required.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: Must maintain certifications in First Aid, CPR/AED as well as any vendor required training. Must also complete 10 hours of professional development annually.
