The Williams College Office of Human Resources seeks a highly organized and process-oriented individual to join us as a Payroll Assistant.  As part of the payroll team, you will be responsible for processing payroll and maintaining various payroll records. The ability to work against deadlines in a timely and accurate manner is critical. 

The successful candidate will be reliable, tech-savvy, with strong attention to detail and be able to work independently as well part of a team. You will also be able to handle high volumes of data, solve problems, serve as a resource of information to faculty, staff, students, and external contacts on established payroll policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated interest in payroll or high volume financial transactions through education or experience
  • Solid understanding and experience with Microsoft Excel is necessary, experience with HR systems, accounting, and/or payroll taxes, preferred.  
  • A commitment to serving faculty, staff and students in a courteous, confidential and professional manner is essential. 
  • You are able to communicate effectively, confidently, and empathetically with diverse constituencies of candidates, hiring managers, and community partners.
