UCP is seeking a Director of Communications. This is a benefited 30 hour per week position.
This position includes the role of office manager and overseeing all of UCP media communication. This includes managing our Pittsfield front desk operations, updating social media, helping to produce public service announcements, assisting with the creation of our agency newsletter, and overseeing our radio reading service as well as the development of new radio programming. Assistance with small fundraising to help the Berkshire Talking Chronicle is essential as well.
This position requires excellent customer relation skills. A friendly and professional manner is vital for this role.
Qualifications: High School diploma or G.E.D and two years of administrative office experience.
Organizational and management skills , Proficient with MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel and all forms of social media. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Valid driver's license and availability of a private vehicle, current auto insurance
Ability to work flexible hours as needed
Self -motivated, positive and energetic.
Ability to multi task, experience in recruiting, scheduling and training.
This position requires regular sitting and standing , pushing and pulling. Ability to lift or move or lift objects. Vision requirements for close, distance and peripheral vision; reading of written, printed and computer screen data.
Essential Job Functions
:Answering a multi line telephone system. Manage front desk and confidential information.
Greet members and visitors, maintain the sign in log. Assist office personnel as needed, copying, faxing, mail distribution. Recording of checks and monies received. Data entry of durable medical equipment, and scheduling conference room meetings . Communication responsibilities include:
coverage of the radio reading services, maintaining radio station equipment, Assist with creation and edit of new radio programming. Involve our members with the preparation of the radio reading service, maintain and update our social media accounts and website.
