Assistant Clinical Director of Assistive Technology

As the Assistant Clinical Director of Assistive Technology (AT) you will be the lead AT evaluator and on-site manager for the UCP Assistive Technology department. Your responsibilities will include ensuring adequate caseloads/productivity, engaging with customers/state on contract management, overseeing AT Clinical Deliverables such as number and quality of the AT evaluations, monthly reports to the State (NATADS), addressing needs of AT referral sources, and liaising with the business manager on business operations such as inventory tracking, device purchasing, billing, and budget tracking. You will research and identify new technology which can support the AT department. This role reports to the Sr. Clinical Director of AT Services.

Qualifications:

  • Massachusetts licensed speech therapist, occupational therapist, or physical therapist preferred OR Massachusetts licensed Rehab Nurse Manager
  • Current  Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) certification through the Rehabilitation Engineering Society of North America or if uncertified the interest and ability to work towards credentialing as part of employment requirement
  • 5 years of experience using AT or durable medical equipment
  • 3 years of  management/supervisory experience.
  • 5 years of experience using AT
  • 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Office 365, Zoom and other remote tools
  • Interest and early adopter of technology preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed
  • Must have an acceptable CORI and SORI.
  • Must have valid driver's license, current auto insurance, availability of a private vehicle.
