Health Coverage Counselor/Information Specialist
$17.00 Per Hour

Ecu-Health Care is a local non-profit, serving uninsured individuals in North Berkshire.

Ecu-Health Care is seeking a Health Coverage counselor/Information Specialist who will be responsible for providing assistance to individuals and families applying for, enrolling in and maintaining current coverage in all available public health programs. In addition, this individual will be responsible for disseminating relevant information via social media platforms as well as updating/maintaining the agency website. Ecu-Health Care staff maintain effective liaison with all local, state and governmental agencies. Application must be able to work well in a team as well as independently in a fast paced office. Computer skill and attention to detail are a must.

-Experience in basic office skills including data entry
-Ability to use a computer/laptop; including MS word, Excel, Outlook and a variety of
web based applications
--Ability to work independently and take direction.
-Good telephone communication skills.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills.
-Self-motivated and ability to be independent and flexible within a team framework.
-Demonstrate ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
-Possess a willingness to learn all aspects of Massachusetts public health insurance
-Attend out of town training and pass all required certifications on an annual basis.
-Submit to and pass State and Federal CORI check
