Job Title: Seasonal Summer Laborer

 

Classification: Non-Exempt             Pay Scale/Grade/Salary: $15.00 (per hour)   

Status: Full-Time (40 hours per week)                   Reports to: Director of Public Works

Mon. – Thur. 8:00 am – 4:00 pm Flexible                            Benefits Eligible: Yes

Job Summary:

The Seasonal Summer Laborer will assist the Department of Public Works/Highway Department with related labor intensive and/or construction-oriented duties.

 

Supervision:

Works under the general direction of the Director of Public Works.  

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Lawn Care
  • General maintenance of Town buildings
  • General maintenance of parks & cemeteries
  • General maintenance of various construction and maintenance projects

  • Education, Experience, and other Requirements

Construction experience preferred but not required. Must be 18 years of age or older. Ability to work independently. Employment is subject to a successful CORI Check.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required be in motion. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
