Assist the AVP – GRC Officer in the administration of the Archer software for risk and compliance management. Partner with business lines across the Bank to facilitate ongoing documentation, review, testing, and improvement of risks and control procedures within the Archer software. Analyze the risks and controls to ensure applicable industry regulations and guidelines are adequately addressed. Identify opportunities for improvement and provide recommendations for enhancements to the Archer software.
Work collaboratively with the AVP – GRC Officer in the implementation and ongoing oversight of authoritative sources and control standards. Ensure control procedures, risks, and policies are properly mapped to industry regulations and guidelines. Prioritize key regulatory and business requirements to identify critical risks and control procedures. Develop reports and dashboards to identify gaps between authoritative sources and the Bank’s policies, risks, control procedures.25%
Proactively work to improve the quality of risk and compliance data within the Archer platform. Work with the business lines to enhance and define existing risks and control procedures. Analyze existing risks and control procedures for deficiencies. Assist the business lines in identifying additional risks and establishing appropriate internal controls. 20%
Develop and execute ongoing campaigns for the assessment and testing of all active risks and control procedures within the Archer software. Monitor the status of all open campaigns to ensure timely and accurate completion by the business lines. Oversee findings generated from these campaigns and assist the business lines in their remediation. Identify repeat findings and develop action plans with the business lines for resolution.20%
Assist the various divisions of the Bank with the use and execution of the Archer software. Develop and maintain training materials for the risk and compliance Archer modules. Arrange ongoing training sessions for new and existing users as required. Gather feedback from the business lines on suggested improvements to be presented to the EGRC Committee for review. Provide day to day support to the business lines when needed. 20%
Collaborate with the AVP - GRC Officer to develop customized GRC reports and dashboards to produce key information for executive and leadership reporting and decision making. Assist business line managers in obtaining reports of the significant risk and control issues affecting their area(s). 10%
Assist the AVP – GRC Officer on any other ERM / GRC special projects as needed. 5%
Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one’s duties.
Assume additional responsibilities and duties as necessary to ensure department objectives are met.
4 year college degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance or equivalent experience
Minimum 3+ years of banking and customer service experience
Experience in various risk management, compliance, and regulatory areas preferred
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail, ability to prioritize work and maintain multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to deliver quality work in a timely fashion in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.
