Location: Gabriel Abbott Memorial Elementary School – Florida, MA
Position: Teaching Assistant
Start Date: School Year 2026–2027

Job Description:
Gabriel Abbott Memorial School located in Florida, MA is seeking to hire a Teaching Assistant for the 2026–2027 school year. This position is full-time Monday through Friday. Specific schedules, assignments, and responsibilities will be determined based on the needs of each school.

Duties:

  • Assist classroom teachers with daily instructional and classroom activities.
  • Support individual students and small groups in academic and social-emotional learning.
  • Supervise students during recess, lunch, and other assigned times.
  • Lead small-group instruction and enrichment activities.
  • Assist with classroom preparation, organization, and student support.
  • Serve as a building-based substitute teacher as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to pass all required background checks, including CORI, SORI, and fingerprinting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred but not required.
